So finally the hall tickets too arrived for the LIC Assistant Administrative Officers Exam. But still we dint update any material for the exam (except those previous papers). Extremely sorry for this guys. Due to hectic work and some other technical problems we were unable to post any material for LIC AAO Exam till now. We regret for that. Ok past is past, we still have 10+ days with us to prepare. And we too are free now... So we will try to make the proper use of this time and will try to update study materials.

So before going into details,

lets have a look at the syllabus and Exam pattern of LIC AAO Exam :

  • Negative Marking is there. So you should be cautious while marking your answers.
  • This exam is Online (same as IBPS Clerks Online Exam) so you should be careful while marking your answers. Read our analysis of IBPS Clerks Online Exam here. This may useful for you if you are appearing for Online exam for the first time.
  • Individual Cutoffs will be there. So you should get minimum qualifying marks in all sections.

Paper pattern and difficulty levels

Well, the difficulty level and the standard of the LIC AAO Paper is little lower than Bank POs' papers.  So if you already have been preparing for bank pos then it just will be a cake walk for you to clear this exam.
  • PO level preparation is enough for Aptitude and Reasoning section.
    • For Aptitude concentrate more on Basics and Speed Maths. Also read standard maths topics like Averages, Ratios, Approximation, Ages, Speed and Distance, Time and Distance, Simple Interest, Profit and Loss etc. But as we already mentioned, you should be good at mental calculations. That will fetch you more than half of the marks easily.
how to prepare for lic aao 2013 exam
    • For Reasoning they are mainly concentrating on basic reasoning concepts, Seating Arrangement problems (hardest part of the LIC AAO reasoning section) and statement and assumptions.
  • The difficulty level of  Computers and English are almost equal to SBI Clerks
    • Concentrate more on comprehension for English.
    • For computers learn basic functionality,  ms office, computer generations.
  • For General Knowledge and Current Affairs you should prepare
    • last six months' current affairs
    • Union and Railway Budgets
    • Basics of LIC
    • Better to prepare previous papers for GK as there will be some repetitive questions from old papers.
To get good idea on the syllabus and pattern of questions asked, have a look at the previous papers of LIC AAO from below.
Thats all for now friends. From our next post we will start updating study materials. All the best and happy reading :)

    1. No Sandhya. The exam pattern was changed. The above papers are only to get the idea on the type of questions being asked only...

Computers section was not there in earlier sets. And negative marking also was not there.

    1. Its not like SSC sindhu... In this exam they mainly concentrate on history and functionalists of LIC.

So you just should prepare current affairs + Basic details of LIC... thats enough
