Federal Bank is recruiting for 1year PG Diploma in Banking and Finance at Federal Manipal school of Banking. Federal Manipal School of Banking (FMSB) is an exclusive partnership forged between Federal Bank and Manipal Global Education services to develop Bankers of tomorrow. Through this arrangement, we intend to groom potential candidates by providing high end Banking training so as to develop first day, first hour productivity in Federal Bank. The candidates would undergo various modes of experiential and activity based learning to develop themselves as future leaders. The candidates who successfully pass out of the program would be conferred with a Post Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance by Manipal University and would be absorbed as Probationary Officers in Federal Bank.

Eligibility Criteria

1 . Qualification
Graduation in any discipline with minimum 60% marks from any recognized university or other institutions established by an Act of parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of U G C Act, 1956.
Students appearing in final year degree exams can also apply subject to their submitting their Final Degree Mark sheet & Provisional Certificate on or before 01.11.2012

2 . Age Limit (As on 01-08-2012)
Minimum: 21 years (Born on or before 01.08.1991)
Maximum: 26 years (Born on or after 01.08.1986)
SC/ST candidates will be eligible for relaxation in upper age limit upto a maximum of 5 years. Candidates availing age relaxation should produce the relevant certificates at the time of interview.

3 . Nationality / Citizenship
Candidate must be a citizen of India.

Procedure to Apply :

Candidates are required to apply online through the website www.federalbank.co.in. No other means/ mode of application will be accepted. 
Candidates are required to have a valid personal email ID. It should be kept active during the currency of this recruitment project. Under no circumstances, he/she should share/ mention his / her email ID to/ or of any other person.In case, a candidate does not have a valid personal email ID, he/she should create his/ her new email ID before applying Online. 
Note : The online application works best in Internet Explorer.

Application fees : The amount of application fees to be paid is indicated below :
For SC/ST Rs. 50/-
For Others Rs.400/-
The applicants can pay the fees either through Debit/Credit Card, Internet Banking, NEFT or through the Fee Payment Challan provided for remittance at Federal Bank Branches. 

Selection Procedure :


The Selection process consists of On line aptitude test, Personal interview and/or Group discussion. Candidates will be called for an online Aptitude Test conducted at various locations across the country. (Test centres available under the relevant drop down menu provided in the application form). Selected candidates would further be required to attend a personal interview and/or Group Discussion . The fixation of test centres will be at the sole discretion of the Bank.

Details of the Programme :

Candidates will be selected through an open recruitment process which will be conducted as per the requirement of the Bank. The candidates who successfully clear the on line aptitude test will be called for Group discussions and/or personal interview. The final entry list would be prepared based on the overall score obtained by the candidate in various assessments. The successful candidates would be enrolled for the one year PGDBF program conducted by Manipal University in association with Federal bank. The program will be spread into a 9 month residential campus program followed by three months internship training at any one of the branches of Federal Bank. The program has been customized to include latest courseware and content aimed at developing the candidate into a holistic Banker. The program will also have interesting modules which will help develop the soft skills and personality of the candidate. Technology and multimedia enabled platforms will be extensively used during the program to make learning an interesting experience. Candidates would also have access to the Core Banking Solution of the Bank "Finacle" which will help them gain the requisite operation skills in a test environment. On successful completion of the course, the candidates would be awarded with the certificate of Post Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance from Manipal University in a passing out function and will be absorbed as Probationary Officers (Scale 1) in Federal Bank.

    1. To be frank, as they are conducting this exam for the first time there are no model papers for the same. We can say you one thing.. The standard of the exam will be very low like a clerical exam. So you can expect easy paper.

    2. thanku..:) and do u have any idea about there requirement .i mean how many employees they want ( intake)...for this program???and wat about negative marking is there any negative marking...

    3. No exact idea or dependable source Ranjith. They dint mention anything about Negative marking in the notification. So probably there wont be negative marking.

  2. there was a negarive marking in this exam and definitely exam was not as clerical level.paper was tough,just like as in general awareness paper question was asked from history science culture and also in computer paper question from deep knowledge of computer.and other paper are also like this.so i think cutoff will be low.

    1. They will inform you to your mail id (the id which you've submitted at the time of registration) Meghna. At present we dont have exact idea of the result date. We'll let you know when we got genuine info...
