Saina Nehwal wins 3rd Olympic medal (Bronze) for India

The Hyderabad badminton player Saina Nehwal won Bronze medal in Women's Singles Badminton event on today ie 4th August 2012 (Saturday). She won bronze medal after world No. 2 China's Wang Xin retires due to injury in the play off at London Olympics on Saturday.She is the  first Indian shuttler to play in an Olympic semi-final.

  • Saina was born in  born March 17, 1990 at Hisar District of Haryana. Her Father is a Scientist at Hyderabad
  • She won  Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna (RGKR) award for 2009-10 year (Badminton)
  • Ranked World No 5 in the World
  • Won Gold in Commonwealth Games
  • Has Won major Super Series Badminton including
