  • Beyond - further away than something else
  • Summitry - the act or practice of holding a summit
  • Summit - a meeting or series of meetings between leaders of two or more countries
  • Integration -  the process of becoming a full member of a group or society, and becoming involved completely in its activities
  • Symbolism - the way in which an action or event is a sign of something more important
  • Substance - the quality of being important, real, or useful
  • Commemorative -  done in order to honour and remember an important person or event
  • Consensus - agreement among all the people involved
  • Forge - to develop a successful relationship, especially in business or politics, with another country, organization, or person
  • Naval - relating to or belonging to a country’s navy
  • Foray -  an attempt at doing something new or something that you do not usually do
  • Overhang - something that has a negative effect on a situation
  • Cold War - unfriendly relations between countries who are not at war with each other
  • Reap - to get something as a result of something that you do
  • Potential - someone's or something's ability to develop, achieve, or succeed
  • Proximity - how near something is to another thing, especially in distance or time
  • Declaration - an important statement
  • Concern - a feeling of worry about something, especially one that a lot of people have about an important issue
  • Socio-cultural - involving a combination of social and cultural matters
  • Maritime - involving ships or the business of moving people and goods in ships
  • Code of conduct - a set of rules about how something should be done or how people should behave
  • Dialogue - a process in which two people or groups have discussions in order to solve problems
  • Comprehensive - including many details or aspects of something
  • Negotiation - formal discussions in which people or groups try to reach an agreement, especially in a business or political situation
  • Unfettered - without limits or controls
  • Lagged behind - to not be as successful or advanced as another person, organization, or group
  • Heavy-lifting - difficult work that needs a lot of effort
  • Integrate - to make someone become a full member of a group or society and be involved completely in its activities
  • In sync - working together at the same time, at the same speed, or in the same way
  • Yield - to produce something useful such as information or evidence
  • Rousing - making you feel emotional, excited, or enthusiastic
  • Expedite - to make something happen quickly or easily
  • Impact - an effect, or an influence
  • Brace yourself - to get ready for something unpleasant
  • Crude oil - oil that is still in its natural state and has not yet been refined for use by chemical processes
  • Rally - an increase in the value of something after a period when its value has been low
  • Dynamics - the set of forces that exist in a situation, and that affect how it changes or develops
  • Outlook - an idea about what a situation will be like in the future
  • Respite - a short period of rest from having to deal with a difficult or unpleasant situation

  • Rationalising -  to try to find a reasonable explanation for behaviour that does not seem reasonable or suitable
  • Undue - not necessary or reasonable
  • Windfall -  an amount of money that you get when you are not expecting it, especially a large amount
  • Tweak - to make small changes in order to improve something
  • Exploration - the activity of searching and finding out about something
  • Expedite - to make something happen quickly or easily
  • Overseas - happening or existing in a country across the sea from your country
  • Self-reliance - able to do things for yourself and not depend on other people
  • Hedge - a way of protecting, controlling, or limiting something
