  • 1st edition of Global Wind Summit will be held in Hamburg, Germany from 25th to 28th September 2018. The summit will see participation of of speakers from about 100 countries, including India, China, the US, Spain and Denmark.
  • 26th BASIC Ministerial Meeting of Environment Ministers was held in Durban, South Africa. India was represented by Union Environment Minister Harsh Vardhan.

  • 5th India-CLMV (Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar and Vietnam) Business Conclave was held at Phnom Penh, Cambodia. This conclave was jointly organised by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry along with Ministry of Commerce of Cambodia.
  • 6th United States-India Aviation Summit was recently held at Mumbai (Maharashtra).
  • 71st World Health Assembly held in Geneva, Switzerland and was attended by delegations from all WHO member states. The assembly has adopted resolution on Digital Health, which was initiated by India and was co-sponsored by 20 countries.
  • 9 months after assuming office, Vice-President M. Venkaiah Naidu was on his maiden foreign visit to the South American countries of Guatemala, Panama and Peru.

  • NITI Aayog has signed Statement of Intent (SoI) with IBM to develop Crop Yield Prediction Model using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to provide real time advisory to farmers in Aspirational Districts.
  • North Korea completed dismantling its Punggye-ri nuclear test site in a ceremony attended by journalists. The move comes in line with North Korea's pledge to denuclearise the Korean Peninsula.
