- Deal breaker - a factor or problem that will prevent someone from agreeing to something, doing something
- Retreat - to decide not to do something
- Undermine - to make something or someone become gradually less effective, confident, or successful
- Unilaterally - done or decided by one country, group, or person, often without considering what other countries etc think or want
- Setback - a problem that delays or that stops progress or makes a situation worse
