  • Scale up - to make something larger in size, amount etc than it used to be
  • Flexible - able to make changes or deal with a situation that is changing
  • Abort - to stop something before it is finished
  • Roll out - to introduce a new product or service
  • Glitch - a small and sudden problem
  • Heartening - to make someone feel happier and more hopeful
  • Revival - the process of becoming active, successful, or popular again
  • Dipped - to become less
  • Robust - strong
  • Inflow - an amount of something such as money or goods that comes into a place
  • Compile -  to make a list by bringing together information from many different places
  • Bounty - money offered as a reward
  • Fingers are crossed - to hope strongly that something will happen
  • Staggered - very surprised and shocked
  • Conversant - if you are conversant with something, you know about it and understand it
  • Nuance - a slight difference that may be difficult to notice but is fairly important
  • Evasion - the practice of avoiding doing something that you should do
  • Deploy - to use something
  • Light touch - not very detailed or severe
  • Bottleneck - a specific problem in part of a process, that causes delays to the whole process
  • Inordinate - much more than you would usually expect
  • Crucial - something that is crucial is extremely important because it has a major effect on the result of something
  • Elliptical - shaped like an ellipse (wider circle)
  • Orbit - the path that is taken by an object moving around a larger object in space
  • Longitude - the distance east or west of the Greenwich meridian (=an imaginary line from the top of the Earth to the bottom), measured in degrees and minutes
  • Disengage - if part of a machine disengages, it is no longer connected to the main part of the machine
  • Desired - used about things that people want to have or achieve
  • Parameter - a limit that affects how something can be done
  • Perigee - the point in the moon's orbit when it is closest to the earth
  • Apogee - the point furthest from the Earth that the Moon or a satellite reaches while it moves around the Earth
  • Conjecture - to decide that something is true or likely based on the information that you have
  • Flaw - a mistake or fault in something that makes it useless or less effective
  • Glitch - a small and sudden problem, especially with technology
  • Complex - something that is complex has a lot of details or small parts that make it difficult to understand or deal with
  • Devoid - lacking something, especially a good quality
  • For instance - for example
  • Predecessor - something that has been replaced by another thing
  • Endow with - to give a particular quality to something, or to say that something has a particular quality
  • Thrust - to put something somewhere with a quick hard push
  • Payload - the amount of a substance that causes an explosion which a missile contains
