What is TPRU ?

• Tax Policy Research Unit (TPRU) in the Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance has been created to ensure a professional and multi-disciplinary analysis of the tax proposals. TPRU acts as the secretariat to the Tax Policy Council in conducting research, analysis and providing evidence-based fiscal and tax policy options to the TPC. TPRU comprises of officers from CBEC, CBDT as well as professional economists, researchers, statisticians and legal experts.

Name of the Post : Research Fellows

Qualification :

• Master’s degree in Economics/Business Economics/Finance.
• One to five years of research and report writing experience;
• The ability and the experience to handle large databases;
• Experience with some econometric and statistical tools like E-Views, STATA, SPSS and R. etc

Age Limit : Not exceeding 35 Years.

Remuneration : All inclusive remuneration shall be Rs. 40,000/- per month.
