  • Forecast - a statement about what is likely to happen, based on available information and usually relating to the weather, business, or the economy
  • Meteorological - related to the scientific study of weather
  • Tailor - to make or prepare something following particular instructions
  • Monsoon - a period of heavy rain in India and Southeast Asia
  • Modelling - the production of a simple technical description of how something such as a process, theory, or system works
  • Spotlight - the attention of people in a group
  • Predict - to say what you think will happen in the future
  • Proportion - the number or amount of a group or part of something when compared to the whole
  • End up - to finally be in a particular place or situation
  • Harvest - the activity of collecting a crop
  • Deficient - lacking the correct amount of something
  • Drought - a long period of time when there is little or no rain and crops die
  • Shortfall - a lack of something that you need or want
  • Persevere with - to continue trying to achieve something difficult
  • Conceive - to think of something such as a new idea, plan, or design
  • Rigour -  the quality of being thorough and careful
  • Couched in something - to be expressed a particular way
  • Pedantic - giving too much importance to details and formal rules
  • Ward off something / somebody - to prevent someone or something unpleasant from harming or coming close to you
  • Generous - larger than is usual or necessary
  • Fallout - the unpleasant effects of something that has happened
  • Gauge - a fact or event that can be used for judging someone or something
  • Phenomenon - an event or situation that can be seen to happen or exist
  • Ripple - an emotion that spreads gradually through a person or a group of people
  • Tricking - to make someone believe something that is not true
  • Merge - to combine or join together
  • Umbrella - something that includes or represents a group or range of similar things
  • Consistent -  not changing in behaviour, attitudes, or qualities
  • Typhoon - a tropical storm with strong winds that move in circles
  • Opt for - to make a choice or decision from a range of possibilities
  • Relying - depending
  • Sophisticated - knowing and understanding a lot about a complicated subject
  • Threatening weather - bad weather
  • Operational - working correctly and able to be used
  • Jugglery - manipulation or trickery especially to achieve a desired end
  • Momentum - progress or development that is becoming faster or stronger
