  • Getting real - to understand the true facts of a situation
  • Suicide - the act of killing yourself intentionally
  • Allegedly - if someone allegedly does something, another person says that they have done it, even though this has not been proved

  • Arrears - money that is owed and should already have been paid
  • Storm - a situation in which many people are upset or excited
  • Unconditional - without limits or conditions
  • Protest - an occasion when people show that they disagree with something by standing somewhere, shouting, carrying signs, etc
  • Called off something - to decide that a planned event, will not happen / to end an activity
  • Assurance - a promise
  • Amidst - in the middle of
  • Lost sight of - to not consider something, esp. because you have forgotten about it
  • Veterans - someone who has been in the armed forces during a war
  • Rightful - officially or legally accepted as right or correct
  • Implies - if one thing implies another thing, the other thing is likely to exist or be true
  • Uniform - the same
  • Armed forces - a country's military forces, usually an army, navy, and air force
  • Regardless - without being affected or influenced by someone or something
  • Veterans - someone who was in the armed forces, especially during a war
  • Annual - happening once every year
  • Equalisation -  the process making things or people equal
  • Opt - to make a choice
  • Premature - happening or done too soon, especially before the natural or suitable time
  • Ambit - the range or limits of the influence of something
  • Revising - to improve something by changing it
  • Predicament - an unpleasant situation that is difficult to get out of
  • Obvious - easy to see, recognize, or understand
  • Budgetary - relating to a budget
  • Implication - a possible effect or result
  • Administrative - relating to the management of an organization
  • Consequence - a result of a particular action or situation, often one that is bad or not convenient
  • Go beyond something  -to refer to, deal with, or include more things than something
  • Henceforth - starting from this time
  • Entitle - to give someone the right to do or have something
  • Distinction - a difference between two similar things
  • Superseded - to replace something
  • Debatable - not clear or certain because different people may have different opinions
  • Prospect - the possibility that something good might happen in the future
  • Criteria - a standard that is used for making a decision about something
  • Push back something - to delay something so that it happens later than planned
  • Dwindle - to become smaller in size or amount, or fewer in number
  • Iron out - to deal successfully with a disagreement or problem, especially by removing the last remaining difficulties
  • Wrinkle - a small problem

  • Gig - a vehicle with two wheels pulled by a horse, used in olden days
  • Tribunal - a special law court organized to judge a particular case
  • Ruling - a decision
  • Entitled - to give someone the right to do or have something
  • Implication - a possible effect or result
  • Gig economy - a way of working that is based on people having temporary jobs or doing separate pieces of work, each paid separately, rather than working for an employer
  • Predicated - to base an action or decision on the existence or truth of something else
  • Transportation - the activity of moving people or things from one place to another
  • Despite - used for saying that something happens even though something else might have prevented it
  • Inextricable - impossible to separate
  • Regulator - an official who makes sure that the companies who operate a system, work effectively and fairly
  • Keep up - to continue to do something
  • Perspective - a particular way of considering something
  • Redress - to correct a mistake / to give payment for a wrong that has been done
  • Workforce - the total number of people who work in a particular company, industry, or area
  • Circumvent - to avoid something, especially cleverly or illegally
  • Overdue - not done or happening when expected or when needed; late
  • Determining - to control or influence something directly, or to decide what will happen
  • Obligation - something that you must do
  • Unorganised - without any particular plan, structure, or order
  • Patchy - happening or existing in some places but not in other places
  • Piecemeal - made or done in separate stages rather than being planned and done as a whole
  • Hire -  if you hire something, such as a car, room, or piece of equipment, you pay the owner so that you can use it, especially for a short time (rent)
  • Livelihood - something such as your work that provides the money that you need to live
  • Ensuring - to make sure that something happens or is done
  • Incentivise - to make someone want to do something
  • Crafted - to make or produce something skilfully
  • Streamlined - to improve a business, organization, process etc by making it more modern or simple
  • Nurture - to help someone or something to develop
  • Stakeholder - a person or group of people who own a share in a business
