Friends, the Nobel Season of the year 2016 has been started today (3rd October 2016). The Nobel committee has today announced the First Award of Nobel Awards series, i.e., Nobel Prize in Medicine / Physiology in Stockholm. The Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for the year 2016 has been awarded to Yoshinori Ohsumi. The Japanese cell biologist, was honored with this award for his discoveries on how cells recycle their content, a process known as autophagy. The Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine is awarded by the Nobel Assembly at Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm, Sweden.
