Success Story of Harsha Atluri (SBI Assistant)

Dear friends,

                  I am Atluri Harsha from Gudivada (Andhra Pradesh). I have been selected as SBI Assistant in Clerical Cadre. 

                 First of all I would like to thank my parents, Sreedhar sir and all the faculty members who have been my mentors for all my Endeavours for the support I have received from them. 

                  I had completed my B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering in April 2013 and started my preparation last year exactly on March 1st, 2014. After missing SBI PO and RBI assistant exams by few marks I changed my preparation strategy and then my success journey started from SBI assistant, IBPS PO, IBPS Clerk, NIA assistants exams…   

For clearing written exams “Arithmetic, reasoning regular practice is must , for improving English daily news paper reading should be habituated and finally for GK section Gr8Ambitionz.com updates are enough”.

Here’s my interview experience….

                My Interview was held on 19.12.2014 at SBI Administrative Office, Vijayawada. I am the 5th member in the noon session waiting eagerly for my chance. My turn came at 3.00 PM.

 M1: What’s your name and where are you from?

Me: I am Atluri Harsha and I am from Gudivada sir.

M1: Though you have good academic profile in your graduation why did you choose Banking sector?

Me: I agree that Electrical stream is a core branch which had more scope but banking is the sector which anchors the financial and economic health of the country and hence prospect of this sector is growing day by day and yet we have to reach every nook and corner of the country in terms of financial literacy and I would like to contribute for the same and grow simultaneously.

M2 (Lady): Ok. Can u tell me birth place of Krishna river?

Me: Mahabaleswar mam, in Maharastra state.

M2: Devi Ahilya Bai was the ruler of?

Me: She was the Queen of Malwa Kingdom, ruled Ahmed Nagar.

M3(Chairman- North Indian ) : S good. Who was the first President of Pakistan?

Me: On seeing his aggressive facial expression I could not recollect and so he asked some more history related questions to trouble me to his surprise I answered all those questions. (ans: Mohammed Ali Zinnah)

M3: He started rapid fire questions like this: i) where is Sindh river? ii) Where do you the traces of Harappa and Mohenjodaro civilizations in India?

Me: It flows through Indian states of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. Their traces were found in Lothal, Gujarat and Kalibangan, Rajasthan sir.

M3: Yes you are absolutely right. He seemed to be satisfied and asked next member to continue..

M4: Who is the present CMD of SBI?

Me: Smt. Arundathi Bhattacharya sir.

M4: What is Central Bank of the country?

Me: Its RBI sir.

M4: Who is the present Governor of it?

Me: Sri Raghu ram Rajan sir.

M4: Tell me the functions of it?

Me: i) Issuer of currency ii) lender of last resort iii) Banker to Banks iv) Banker to Government v) Guardian of forex reserves vi) controller of inflation vii) works as clearing house

M4: very good. Now all of them seemed to be satisfied and said  me ‘All The Best’ and you can leave now. Totally it lasted for 15 min…
