- Japan's Parliament today re-elected Shinzo Abe as Prime Minister.
- The FDA (Food and Drug Administration) has decided to Ease decades-old Ban on Blood Donations by Gay Men
- The FDA today announced that it will recommend lifting the lifetime ban early next year, replacing it with a policy barring donations from men who have had sex with another man in the previous 12 months.
- The change would overturn a 31-year-old policy that many medical groups and gay activists say is no longer justified, given advances in HIV testing.

Awards & Honors
- Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Freedom Fighter Madan Mohan Malaviya will be honoured with the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian award, the President's office announced today.
- Mr Vajpayee, a three-time prime minister considered the gold standard of leadership in the BJP, will be the first leader from the country's political right to be given a Bharat Ratna.
- Madan Mohan Malaviya is a freedom icon and educationist popularly known as 'Mahamana'
- He was the founder of Banaras Hindu University.
- Important points you should know about Bharat Ratna
- Bharat Ratna is India’s highest civilian award instituted in 1954
- This award is given in recognition of exceptional service, performance of the highest order in any field of human endeavour.
- The recipient receives a Sanad (certificate) signed by the President and a Medallion.
- Any person without distinction of race, occupation, position or sex is eligible for this award.
- The recommendations for Bharat Ratna are made by the Prime Minister to the President.
- The number of annual awards is restricted to a maximum of three in a particular year.
- Madan Mohan Malviya and Vajpayee are the 44th and 45th distinguished personalities who have been conferred with this award.
- Early this year, Sachin Tendulkar and C.N.R. Rao were given Bharat Ratna.
- The first recipients of the Bharat Ratna were C. Rajagopalachari, C. V. Raman and Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who were honoured in 1954.

for 4 years .Difference between these two amount after 4 year and 5 year is 22
if interest is simple. Find the sum?
