I am Shubhashree N S from Bengaluru. I wrote the IBPS PO exam on 19-Oct-2014 Evening session. Here goes my review/experience:


General awareness : Moderate. 

Emphasis on last 3 months GA. Questions on banking domain were easy.
Few questions I remember :

• Deen dayal upadhyaya grameena yojana motto
• "Yogakshemam vahamyaham" slogan belongs to which organization
• Name of the indo pak border
• Expansion of A in ATM
• Minority affairs minister
  
• Which country has promised unlimited raw materials to k plant
• Currency of Uruguay
• Author of "hard choices"
• One question on Asian games gold medal winner
• If there is no sufficient balance and the cheque is returned to the bank - cheque bouncing
• What was the motto behind allowing minors to open bank accounts
• Question for which the answer is CIBIL
• Which Bollywood actress was a state level badminton champion - Deepika padukone
• Who invented dynamite -Alfred Nobel
• Which were the 3 countries to successfully achieve mars mission before India

Quantitative Aptitude : Very time consuming.

• DI - 15 questions (5 pie chart , 5 tabular chat, 5 line graph)
• Quadratic equations - 5 questions
• Number series - 5 questions
• Data sufficiency
• Mensuration
• Time and work
• Distance and speed
• Age
• Profit and loss

Reasoning : Moderate.

• Syllogism - 7 questions
• Critical reasoning - 5 questions
• Assertions and conclusions
• Arrangements

English : Difficult than expected. 

• Lengthy paragraphs to eat the time away.
• Sentence rearrangement - 5 questions
• Paragraph - 2 paragraphs with each 10 questions
• Cloze test -10 questions
• Find the errors - 5 questions

Computer awareness : All very basic questions. 95-100% scoring.


Morning Shift review shared by Debasish Nayak

Hi Friends, This is Debasish from Bhubaneshwar. I have attend today's PO exam, morning session, but sorry for the late review as I was pissed of my performance today.

Ok, Starting  from Reasoning, the section was average with syllogisms, inequalities, input-output, statement and assumptions all of moderate level. Puzzle and sitting arrangement moderate to high level, I attempted one puzzle , it had seven related ques, so tempted me I got it right, but due to hurry, I missed a point and wasted too much time on it .
One can easily score 25-30 ques if he/she has a solid grip on reasoning. My attempt 23, time spent 35 mins
1 cool advice- Friends try to remain calm during the whole 2 hrs. Dont let pressure build up on you . You can score more, than u think.

Coming to Quant, I thought it to be tough, but genuinely the questions are of moderate level , but they are TOO LENGTHY. Di will take all the time.
My advice, Di comes 20 marks, Give 1 min for viewing the Quant paper in full mode, and try to do the rest questions first and then come to Di, You can definitely score more . My score only 15, time spent 45 mins.

Eng was Easy, leaving the passages , lengthy and stressful, all about economies and globalization, left 1 and did 1,  cloze test was easy. my attempt 30, time spent 20 mins

GA was easy than I expected and I want to thank Gr8 team for this. I had only gone through the materials they had provided, no other site nor any magazines, na
Trust me friends, this site is enough to crack GA, no external help needed.
my attempt 27, time spent 15 mins

Computer, just like Cadbury SILK , basic knowledge is enough. my attempt 19, time spent 5 mins
Overall -114

That's it friends , All the best for ur exams, TRY TO REMAIN CALM AND FOCUSED and KEEP HOLD OF THE TIME BY CHECKING IT AT REGULAR INTERVALS.( AFTER ALL HERE TIME MATTERS EVERYTHING)
