International Affairs
- The United States and dozens of other countries vowed to speed up and strengthen the U.N.’s overstretched peacekeeping response to crises around the world.
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the 69th session of UN General Assembly in NewYork today.
- His speech was in Hindi.
- Addressing the United Nations General Assembly in New York, the Prime Minister Modi said that we should put aside our differences and mount a concerted effort to combat terrorism.
- He said that terrorism is taking a new shape and new name. No country, big or small, is free from its threat.
- In his summit discussions with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the coming days, U.S. President Barack Obama is likely to push for India playing an active role on the global stage, including in the fight against the Islamic State and the scramble to contain Ebola.
- Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is likely to hand over a dossier detailing her government’s evidence of the money trail in the Saradha chit fund scandal when she meets Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
- Modi is scheduled to meet with Srilankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa in New York tonight.
- The two leaders will hold discussions over a number of topics.
National Affairs
- Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa sentenced to four years jail term and fined 100 crore rupees, in disproportionate assets case
- She sent to judicial custody with three others (Her close aide Sasikala Natarajan, her niece Ilavarasi and her nephew and disowned foster son Sudhakaran)
- She is disqualified from contest for the period of imprisonment (four years) and six years thereafter. A total of 10years.
- The verdict was delivered by a special court in Bangalore amid tight security.
- Dr Subramanian Swamy, then a leader of Janata Party, files this case against Jayalalithaa alleging that during her tenure as Chief Minister from 1991 to 1996, she amassed properties worth Rs 66.65 crore disproportionate to her known sources of income.
- This trial has witnessed a see-saw battle for 18 years
- K Anbazhagan filed a petition to shift the trial from Tamil Nadu to Karnataka.
- Violence reported from various parts of Tamil Nadu.
- Chennai Central became the first railway station to get Wi-Fi connectivity after railway minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda inaugurated the facility.
- The Swachh Bharat Abhiyan was launched at the Rashtrapati Bhavan today with 35 officers and 2,000 employees of the President's Secretariat taking part in the cleanliness drive.
- Cabinet gives nod for President rule in Maharashtra after resignation of Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan.

Sports
- Asian Games 2014
- Indian Archers win gold in Compound Men's team (Abhishek, Sandeep and Rajat) event
- Indian Archers win bronze in Compound Women's Team (Jyothi Surekha, Trisha and Purvasha) event.
- Women grapplers Vinesh Phogat and Geetika Jakhar bagged a bronze medal each in 48kg and 63kg freestyle events respectively
- Indian Men's squash team beats Malaysia 2-0 to win first ever gold medal in the event.
- India are assured of at least five more bronze medals at the 2014 Asian Games after the tennis players put up an impressive display to reach the semifinals of five events.
- India currently stood at 11th Position.

ReplyDeleteThis is a fake paper(at least i am sure about the math section that its fake, the difficulty level was much higher, simplification question was not there in the actual paper). but none the less take it as a mock and practice. :)

ReplyDeleteData sufficiency bhi PO-3 me nhi tha.And this sitting arrangement seems too easy,as the paper of PO-3 was very difficult.Waise mera paper to 19/10/13 ko tha,but I donn think ki kisi bhi paper me aise questions aaye the last year...... Otherwise,reasoning me cutoff 20+ hi jaata.

ReplyDeleteThanx Mam ....I have a doubt.. I had given ibps po III last year and scored 82 which was a good score but failed to cross the cut off in computer which was 7 out of 20 ,I had 6 ....now I solved the 2013 papers computer section through link given above and made 15 correct and five left attempts.... I am more than 100% sure that the original question paper was tougher in computer section...so if possible please upload some tricky questions for computer section
