Friends,  in order to secure the world cultural and natural heritage, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) makes the list of places (such as buildings, mountains, deserts, islands, lakes, cities, complexes and forests etc) as of  special cultural or physical significance. The list is maintained by the international World Heritage Programme administered by the UNESCO World Heritage Committee, composed of 21 states' parties which are elected by their General Assembly. As of the year 2014, there are 1007 (779 cultural, 197 natural, and 31 mixed properties) sites named in this list.
