SBI PO Recruitment Notification 2013 is Out

Good News friends, the State Bank of India (SBI) has finally released its much awaited notification for the recruitment of Probationary Officers (POs) for the year 2013. The candidates can apply online from 30th January 2013 to 23rd February 2013. The written examination will be held on 28th April 2013. There are 1500 Posts in total. Thanks to SBI. Graduation is enough to apply and the application fee is only 200. So friends, All the best and good luck :)

Eligibility Criteria of SBI PO Exam 2013 :

Note : The candidate should acquire the below mentioned eligibility criteria by the date 1st January 2013)
  • Educational Qualifications : 
    • Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. 
    • Age (As on 1st January 2013) The age should not below 21 years and not above 30 years as on 01.01.2013 i.e candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.01.1983 and not later than 01.01.1992 (both days inclusive) Relaxation in the Upper Age Limit to Reserved category candidates Upper age is relaxable by 
      • 3 years in the case of OBC candidates
      • 5 years in the case of : 
        • SC/ST candidates. 
        • Ex-servicemen (including Emergency Commissioned Officers/Short Service Commissioned Officers) who have rendered at least five years continuous Military Service and have been released on completion of assignment (including those whose assignment is due to be completed within one year) otherwise than by way of dismissal or discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency or /on account of physical disability or have been released/discharged on account of physical disability attributable to Military Service or on invalidment
        • Candidates who had ordinarily been domiciled in Kashmir Division of the State of Jammu and Kashmir between 1st January, 1980 and 31st December, 1989.
      • 10 years for VH/OH (Gen); 13 years for VH/OH (OBC) and 15 years for VH/OH (SC/ST) candidates.
Application Fee :
  • 200 for General Candidates
  • 50 for SC/ST/PWD Candidates
Selection Process : The selection process consists of 2 phases
    • Phase-I : Written Examination (250 marks) consisting of Objective Tests and Descriptive Test. (no online exam) 
      • Objective Test (200 marks) : The Objective Tests with 2 hour duration will consists of  4 Sections with 50 marks each as follows
        •  Test of English Language (Grammer, Vocabulary, Comprehension etc)
        • Test of General Awareness, Marketing and Computers
        • Test of Data Analysis and Interpretation
        • Test of Reasoning (High Level)
      • Descriptive Test (50 marks) : The Descriptive Test with 1 hour duration will be of “Test of English Language (comprehension, short prĂ©cis, letter writing & essay)”. The candidates are required to qualify in the Descriptive Test by securing passing marks, to be decided by the  Bank. 
    • Phase-II : Group Discussion (20 marks) & Interview (30 marks)
  • Final Selection:
    • The candidates will have to qualify both in Phase-I and Phase-II separately. Marks secured by the candidates in the Written Test (out of 250 marks maximum) are converted to out of 75 and marks secured in Group Discussion & Interview (out of 50 marks maximum) are converted to out of 25. The final merit list is arrived at after aggregating converted marks of Written Test and Group Discussion & Interview out of 100 for each category. The selection will be made from the top merit ranked candidates in each category.
    • Results of the candidates who have qualified for Phase II and thereafter, the list of candidates finally selected will be available on the Bank’s website.

  16. Mam...Why SBI Didn't Give Percentage restrictions????In bank exam is there any advantage for more percentage candidates.???.pls tell me...

    1. It seems SBI intentionally lessen the eligibility criteria and exam fee fr this time Sravan...
      Obviously it will be advantageous for the people who have less percentage.. Coz usually SBI asks fr First class.... So its really a good news for candidates
