Important Points You Should Know About IBPS Clerks Online Exam

Friends, till now we have been blaming the IBPS's new Online Examination System. But now we've got our exam dates too... So now, we don't have any other option except accepting the change. So lets see the other side of the coin and lets discuss some Important Points you should know about IBPS Clerks Exam. The main target of this post is to clear the myths of IBPS Online exam and to make you ready for the online exam with a smiling face.

Why this IBPS Online Exam is better than the Offline Exam :

  1. There are very less chances for Arguing with Invigilators. Yep, you might have have encountered some stupid invigilators who give the paper for 10 mins late and snatch it from you 10 mins before. Now they wont get this chance.
  2. There are no chances for leakage of Exam Papers.
  3. You can expect Fast Results. You can expect the results in 30 to 45 days (even earlier if IBPS wants to).
  4. People are thinking that Online exam is time consuming. Ofcourse, we too agree with you at some extent. Because every time you should open a new question and should mark the correct answer. But the point is, in our traditional offline exam you should round bubbles until they get dark. But here, you can mark your answer with a single mouse click :D. So approximately, both processes will be of same time.
  5. You can change your answers anytime if you wish, with a single click until and unless you click on the final submit button.

The Points you Should Keep in mind while answering Questions in IBPS Online Exam :

  • When you occupy your chair, there will be a login screen displayed to you. You have to log in using your User ID and Password.
  • After logging in, the instructions will be displayed on the screen. You can check the model mock test here.
  • By ‘checking’ (click) the box at the bottom of the screen, after which the ‘I am ready to begin’ button is activated.
  • After clicking on the ‘I am ready to begin’ button the actual test time will begin.
  • There are 200 questions of 200 marks and each question is followed by 5 alternatives/options numbered 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.
  • The questions except those on English Language will be available in Hindi and in English. In order to view a given question in the other language, a candidate can click on the ‘view in’ drop down box and select the desired language.
  • Only one question will be displayed at a time.
  • In order to answer a question, the candidate has to ‘mouse click’ the option he/she thinks is appropriate/ correct.
  • After selecting an answer for a question the candidate should click on the ‘SAVE & NEXT’ button to save his answer and proceed to the next question. Keep in mind that without clicking on ‘Save & Next’ button the answer selected for a question will not be saved.
  • If you don't want to attempt the question then you can skip the question. You can choose  deselect your answer for a particular question by clicking on the ‘CLEAR RESPONSE’ button provided against each question. As IBPS Said, in case a candidate wants to skip a particular question and return to it later before submitting his/her test or a candidate ‘clicks’ (selects) an answer for a particular question but wishes to review it later, he/she may note down the question number on the sheet provided. In such cases the candidate may also click on the ‘MARK FOR REVIEW & NEXT’ button. In case an answer has been selected for a particular question which has been marked as ‘MARK FOR REVIEW & NEXT’, the answer marked will be taken for final evaluation.
  • The question numbers of attempted and unattempted questions are also shown to the right of the screen. A candidate can then click on any of the question numbers to view the question, in order to attempt/ revise his/her answer to the question.
  • Each question number will be displayed in a particular colour depending on the status of the question:
    • White : Not visited : Question has not been viewed/ attempted
    • Red : Not Answered : Question has been viewed but not answered
    • Green : Answered : Question has been answered
    • Violet : Marked : Question has been marked for review later
  • Candidates are not permitted to submit their answers before the entire test time i.e 120 minutes is over.
  • A candidate can navigate between questions by clicking on the question number displayed to the right of the screen.
  • Under no circumstances should a candidate click on any of the ‘keyboard keys’ once the exam starts as this will lock the exam.

How to Submit ?

  • Candidates are not permitted to submit their answers before the entire test time is over.
  • A candidate can only change his/ her answer before clicking the ‘Submit’ button.
  • After the expiry of the exam duration, candidates will not be able to attempt any question or check their answers.
  • A candidate’s answers would be automatically saved by the computer system even if he has not clicked the ‘Submit’ button.
Note : IBPS have given you a demo model test for the practice purpose. You can take that test from Here.

  3. Good suggestions....How we will switch one subject to other object..Suppose I want to Answer general awareness question first and then computer like that...r which order they will give? And how to switch desired section first...and also one more suggestion from you people..How To maintain time management for each subject..I mean ...Approximately what time will require each subject?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. At the top of the page you can see the names of the sections Sravan. As you see in our menu bar. You can switch one section to other by clicking on the appropriate section's name.

Well, the time management is totally depends on your convenience Sravan. personally I prefer to start with easiest subject (Computers in my case) and try to complete in less time (10 mins in my case, as there is not much to think about questions... if you know the answer mark it.. if you dont know, switch to next question). Later switch to Current Affairs (here to same)... Later English section. Try to complete it in 20 mins... Try to adjust the remaining time for Reasoning and Apti according to your possibilities... Don't waste time for the difficult questions, as the exam is online.. there are maximum chances for confusion. Try to avoid it.

hope it helps... All The Best.

  10. "IBPS would be analysing the responses (answers) of individual candidates with other candidates to detect patterns of similarity of right and wrong answers. If in the analytical procedure adopted by IBPS in thisregard, it is inferred/concluded that the responses have been shared and scores obtained are not genuine/valid, IBPS reserves right to cancel the candidature of the concerned candidates and the result of suchcandidates (disqualified) will be withheld."

HOW TO AVOID ABOVE PROBLEM,FOR SAME REASON I AM DISQUALIFIED IN CWR RRBs EXAM, although i had used genuine procedure and not to copy anyone.. Can somebody help please

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Friend, there are some lacks of people writing this exam. So hundreds of papers will be in same format. I don't think IBPS will disqualify candidates for this reason.

Ofcourse, IBPS made a number of Candidates Disqualified in RRBs exam. But this is not the appropriate reason for that. So no need to be worried.. Just try to give your best.

      Good Day :)

    1. Stop preparing for IBPS and concentrate on your MBA exam Amit. Try to get good marks in your MBA. You can write another clerks exam after 6 months if you lost this one. But if you neglect your MBA, that may ruin your entire career. So please concentrate on it.

  20. Hai shivani ma you are doing good job for us,especially in GK portion,so first I would like to thank you ma and I have some doubts in this online pattern 1.They have told a single question appear at a time but we have paragraph questions like comprehension in English, circle arrangement in reasoning etc.., how these questions appear in screen 2.Explain the button "QUESTION PAPER" 3.Don't we touch keyboard after the exam starts?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. 1. For paragraph questions all the questions will appear at once Saravanan. I mean if there are 5 questions, you will get all five questions in a single page you just have to scroll up and down to read the passage and answer the questions.

      2. To switch from one subject to another you can use that button (but according to the sources, there will be name of the subjects as a menu at the top left side so that you can easily click on the subject name to choose.

      3. After logging in once, they wont allow you to use keyboard because there are chances of using net or calculator in computer.
