Ronjan Sodhi wins Silver Medal at ISSF World Cup Finals

Here is an Inspiring Tale to cheer up folks. Remember Ronjan Sodhi? One of the India's biggest medal hopefuls in London 2012 Olympics, the double trap shooter who crashed out of the London Olympics as he failed to qualify for the finals?. Yep the same Ronjan Sodhi on Monday won a Silver Medal at the ISSF World Cup in Slovania. (For those people who are unaware of ISSF Worldcup, its the world wide shooting competition hosted by International Shooting Sport Federation. 

Mr Sodhi, who had failed to qualify for the finals of the London Olympics, shot a score of 191 (144+47), which is three more than the London Games gold medal score.

It is third year in a row that Mr Sodhi has won a medal at World Cup finals. In the previous two editions -- 2010 and 2011 -- he had won a gold each. National Rifles Association of India (NRAI) President Raninder Singh said that he was delighted by the performance of the shooter from Ferozpur and expressed confidence that the shooter would continue to make the nation proud in the future.
