Hi, I am Sandeep Kumar. An SBI PO 2016 aspirant. Yesterday, one of our fellow aspirant has told that she dint aware that there is descriptive test for SBI PO Mains. I came across a few other guys who are seriously preparing Precis writing for descriptive. I have appeared for this exam last year and couldn't make it to the GD and Interview. So, with that experience, i want to shed some light on SBI PO Main Examination Process. Hope it will be helpful for the new aspirants who are writing SBI PO Main exam for the first time. All  the Best :)

Important Points to Keep in Mind about Descriptive Test of SBI PO 2016

  • Unlike previous offline exams, descriptive test starts immediately after the objective test. There will be no time gap (even for a second).
  • Last year they didn't ask questions from Precis writing. They have asked only Letter and Essay writing.
  • The Descriptive Test will be Online.
  • Two sets of questions will be displayed on screen. 3 of them are for Essay writing and 3 of them are for Letter writing. You will have to pick one from each set and should type your answer .
  • Last time they asked Letter for 20 marks and the Essay for 30 marks.
  • Don't bother about perfection. There will be marks for each and every step. For example, in letter writing there will be marks for Heading, Addresses, Greeting, Subject Line, Body paragraphs, Complimentary Close. So, if you are completely clueless about the given topics, try to write something with the above formalities. You will get at-least 4 marks which will save you from interviews.

Here are the Descriptive questions asked in Last Years (2015) SBI PO Main Online Exam

  • (a) Pros & Cons of implementation of “One Rank One Pension”.
  • (b) Ethical problems of E – Commerce.
  • (c) India’s over dependence on the monsoon
