Theresa May today took over over as Britain's new Prime Minister. Current Prime Minister David Cameron officially stepped down today handing over the reins to Theresa May. Cameron has decided to resign as Britian's PM after Britain’s vote to leave the European Union (Brexit). Theresa was left as the only contender standing after the withdrawal from the Conservative Party leadership race of Andrea Leadsom, who faced criticism for suggesting she was more qualified to be prime minister because she had children. Theresa May became Britain’s Second Woman Prime Minister, more than three decades after “Iron Lady” Margaret Thatcher.
