Me : Sir I am a native of New Delhi. My father serves in Indian Air Force. I have .
been brought up by my parents in a disciplined and punctual environment. Due to transferrable nature of his job, We, as a family, have been shifted to several .
cities, which includes Shillong (Meghalaya), Guwahati (Assam), Car Nicobar .(Andaman & Nicobar Islands) and Vadodara (Gujarat). I did my schooling from all these places. It gave me a benefit of knowing about various places, their people and their cultures. And also cultivated in me, a quality of adjusting myself in different cities, and interacting with different people from different cultures. After my schooling, I came to Bangalore to pursue my graduation. I did B.E. from Computer Science, and passed out in 2014.

Panelist 2 : What is the full form of your college name ?

Me : Rama Nagappa Shetty Institute of Technology.

Panelist 1 : So you attempted last year IBPS PO also ? What was the cut-off last year ?

Me : Sir It was 49.6 for General candidates.

Panelist 3 : Not 49.6, it would have been 50, because we cannot give marks here in decimal points.

Me : No sir, may be you misunderstood, I am telling about the final cut-off, which includes written + interview marks.

Panelist 3 : Oh ! Do they include written marks also in final cut-off ?
.
Me : Yes sir.
.
Panelist 4 (He started explaining it to Panelist 3) : Hey see, they add the written marks and the interview marks, and simply divide it by 2 to arrive at final cut-off.

Me : No sir, the written exam was of 200 marks, they will calculate our scored marks out of 80, and the marks which we will get in this interview, which is of 100 marks, will be calculated out of 20, and then they add it to arrive at final cut-off.

Panelist 4 : Ohk, I understood, but why do they give only 20% weightage to interview, it should be more than that. Why so less ?

Me : I don’t know sir.
.
Panelist 4 : So you will get total marks at the end or will you get to know also that what was your score in written as well as in interview ?
.
Me : Yes sir, we get to know about our score in written as well as in interview, but at the end, they only post final total marks.
.
Panelist 3 : Then how come you know about your written and interview score ?
.
Me : Because they will release our written score after finishing all the interview process.

Panelist 4 : Ok Ok we got it, But IBPS should give more weightage to interview. This 20% weightage is not justified.

Panelist 1 : Do you have an account ?

Me : Yes Sir.

Panelist 1 : Which one ?

Me : Savings bank Account in SBI.

Panelist 1 : So What are the risks in opening a bank account for a customer.

Me : The first risk is that the person may provide fake information about himself to misuse the banking services. He may be indulged in Money Laundering using his account in our bank. And then there are risks related to lending also like… ( .

Panelist 1 : Ok Ok I got it. Now tell what is Money Laundering ?
.
Me : In laymen terms, money laundering simply means converting Black Money into White. In this process, the black money is placed in financial system by injecting it into the market. Then a series of complex transactions is carried out to hide the original source of money. Then a series of additional complex transactions is carried out by integrating black money with white money.

Panelist 1 : Suppose you find out that a person is carrying out huge illegal transactions, then what will you do ?
.
Me : I will inform my higher authorities about it.
.
Panelist 1 : But if high authorities are not there, and you have to make decision on your own.
.
Me : I will inform legal cell about it and will tell them to initiate the proceedings.
.
Panelist 1 : That is fine, legal cell will present bank’s case in court, but before that, there is a department in the bank which will be informed first. Tell the name of that department.
( I was in a thinking mode, then he himself told )

Panelist 1 : That department is called Anti-Money laundering Cell.

Panelist 2 : Ok if that person got to know that you know about him, and he is powerful and influential person. Then ?

Panelist 2 : Ok there is a department under central government who look after these kind of cases, tell the name of it ?

Me : Enforcement Directorate.

Panelist 2 : No. You have told 90 % correct procedure, but I wanted to listen that 10 % also. Ok leave it.

Panelist 5 : What is FCMA Account ?

Me : Sorry ma’am. No idea.

Panelist 5 : What is NPA ?
.
Me : NPA stands for Non-Performing Assets. The assets which stop performing after 90 days are called NPA. Means the bank which has lent, didn’t receive repayment EMIs for a period of 90 days, then the loan is declared as Non-Performing Asset, because that asset has stopped providing profitable returns.

Panelist 4 : Who invented Aeroplane ?

Me : Sir two brothers were there. Wilbur Right and Oliver Right.

(This was in news last year when a controversy erupted when Baba Ramdev stated in IIT Delhi that the first aeroplane was invented by Lord Vishwakarma and then Ravana used that aeroplane to kidnap Sita )

Me : OROP stands for One Rank One Pension. It means the defence retirees who retired at the same rank and after same tenure of service will be given equal pension. And… ( Panelist 1 interrupted )

Me : RAM stands for Random Access Memory. It is the temporary memory which stores the data when we are working. Once the Computer is switched off, the whole data got wiped out. Therefore it is volatile memory. It is of two types, first one is SRAM and… ( Again Panelist 1 interrupted )
