The
Paytm Payments Bank, a unit of One97 Communications Ltd., has appointed veteran banker
Satish Kumar Gupta as it's
new Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer (MD & CEO). Gupta is going to replace Renu Satti, who stepped down as CEO in July and moved on to head the company's new retail business.
Gupta was former deputy general manager at State Bank of India where he worked for over three decades. He then became chief project officer at National Payments Corporation of India, which manages payment products like Unified Payments Interface.
Gupta brings over 35 years of leadership experience to Paytm Payments Bank, with prior senior roles at SBI and NPCI, the company said in a statement.
