During the meeting, EAC-PM discussed the possible modalities of implementing National Health Scheme announced by the government in Union Budget-2018-19.

  • 5th Edition of South Asia Region Public Procurement Conference was held in New Delhi. Theme of this Conference : “Public Procurement and Service Delivery”.

  • A Bangladesh court sentenced Opposition leader and two-time ex-PM Khaleda Zia to five years in jail for corruption.
  • A 'Gender park' open exclusively to women and children will be set up in Kerala's Kottayam.

  • According to a report released by the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR), the CM of Andhra Pradesh, Chandrababu Naidu is the richest Chief Minister in India with declared assets worth over ₹177 crore. Naidu is followed by Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khandu with assets worth over ₹129 crore and Punjab's Amarinder Singh with ₹48 crore.

  • Airtel Payments Bank reduced its interest rate by 175 basis points to 5.5 % per annum from 7.25 % per annum earlier.
  • Amazon has launched it's own food retail venture titled Amazon Retail in Pune. With this, Amazon has became the first foreign e-commerce firm to start its own food retail venture in India.
  • An all-woman crew started operating the Gandhinagar Railway Station in Jaipur, in a first for Rajasthan. This is India's second railway station with an all-woman crew, with the first being Matunga Railway Station in Mumbai.
  • An Indian consortium led by ONGC has agreed to pay $600 million (over ₹3,850 crore) for a 10% stake in an offshore oilfield in UAE's Abu Dhabi. This marks the first time Indian oil companies have been given a stake in Abu Dhabi's hydrocarbon resources.
  • As part of the Vision 2030 social program launched by Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman, the Saudi Arabia's General Security division allowed women aged between 25 and 35 to apply for the rank of soldier.
