- Tango - a type of dance
- Alliance - an arrangement between two or more people, groups, or countries by which they agree to work together to achieve something

- Negotiation - formal discussions in which people or groups try to reach an agreement, especially in a business or political situation

- Revival - the process of becoming active, successful, or popular again
- Bruise - to harm someone’s reputation or confidence

- Crucial - something that is crucial is extremely important because it has a major effect on the result of something
- Ousting - to remove someone from a position of power
- Troops - soldiers, especially in large numbers

- Militancy - the use of confrontational or violent methods in support of a political or social cause
- Empowering - to give someone more control over their life or more power to do something
- Vassal - a person or country that depends completely on, and is controlled by, another person or country
- Insurgent - someone who belongs to a group of people fighting to take control of their country by force
- Virtually - used for emphasizing that a statement is almost completely true
- Concerned - worried about something
- Alarmed - frightened or worried that something unpleasant or dangerous might happen
- Guerrilla - a member of a military group that is not official and usually wants to change a political situation
- Proxy - someone who has the authority to do something for you
- Buffer - something that protects another thing by being between it and something else that could harm it
- Convergence - a situation in which people or things gradually become the same or very similar
- Assent - agreement with or approval of a plan or suggestion
- Rebel - someone who tries to remove a government or leader using force
- Jihadist - a Muslim who is fighting for Islam, especially someone with extreme views, who believes in using violence to achieve religious and political aims
