Meet the Miss World 2016 - Stephanie Del Valle Diaz

19-year-old Stephanie Del Valle Diaz of Puerto Rico was adjudged the winner of the 66th edition of the prestigious Miss World 2016 pageant held at National Harbour near US capital Washington DC.

With this win, she made history by becoming second woman from Puerto Rico in the history of the Miss World pageant to be crowned. The previous winner from Puerto Rico was Wilnelia Merced in 1975. 

Staphanie defeated the runners-up Yaritza Miguelina Reyes Ramirez of the Dominican Republic, while Indonesia's Natasha Mannuela secured the third place. Contestants from Kenya and Philippines rounded up the top five. Miss World 2015 Mireia Lalaguna Royo crowned  Stephanie at the event’s grand finale. She previously won Miss Mundo de Puerto Rico 2016. India’s Priyadarshini Chatterjee only made it to the top 20.
