  • Grievous crime - very serious crime (causing great sorrow)
  • Applause - approval expressed especially by the clapping of hands
  • Liberation - the process of trying to achieve equal rights
  • Secular - not connected with religious or spiritual matters
  • Contradiction - the act of going against
  • Convicted - a person proved or declared guilty of an offense
  • Dampen - to make dull
  • Extremists -  people who have ​beliefs that most ​people ​think are ​unreasonable and ​unacceptable
  • Execution - the process of performing a judgment or sentence of a court [mostly Death sentence]
  • Grappling - struggling
  • Embitter - to make (a person) bitter
  • Sympathisers - a person who supports a sentiment / opinion

  • Phenomenon - a remarkable development
  • Demographic - related to the structure of Population
  • Implication  - indication
  • Prenatal - before birth
  • Fertility - the ability to produce children
  • Coercive - to control
  • Offspring - children
  • Anecdote - a small incident
  • Immense  - extremely large
