Important Points to note while solving Number Series Problems :
- Examine the difference between adjacent numbers. The difference between two consecutive numbers may be constant, prime number, perfect square, perfect cube etc.
- See whether there is a multiplication or division pattern between two adjacent numbers.
- Check whether adjacent numbers in the series change based on a logical pattern like multiplying first number by 2, second by 3, third by 4 etc.,
- See if you can find a rule that involves using two or more basic arithmetic functions (+, -, %, X) in the series like multiply by 2 then add by 3 etc.
