International Affairs
  • Nearly 50 people, including children and security personnel, were killed and 70 others injured in a powerful suicide blast in Pakistan at Wagah today, minutes after the popular flag-lowering ceremony at the Indo-Pak border.
National Affairs
  • Assam government today announced that they have decided to hand over the cases relating jihadi activities to National Investigation Agency for investigation.
  • The Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said disclosure of names in violation of tax treaties will help account holders as the reciprocating state could refuse any evidence.
    • An unauthorised disclosure of information is fraught with both investigation and economic consequences. They can sabotage the investigation.
