  8. Total work to be done is 30 (LCM of 5 and 6)
    Now A do 6 work in 1 day
    B do 5 work in 1 day
    so in 2 days they do total 11 work
    again in another 2 days they do 22 work (multiply days and work by 2)
    Remaining work 30-22=8
    6 work done by A in another next day.
    Now again remaining work 8-6=2
    that is done by B in 2/5 days
    Hence total days 2+2+1+2/5=5(2/5)

    Hope you understood... :)

  29. Please explain the concept of ques 10

    ReplyDelete
  30. i am getting 5(1/3) as answer in ques 6.
    (A+B) 2 day's work=1/5 + 1/6=11/30
    work done in 2 pairs of day=2 x (11/30)=22/30
    remaining work=1-(22/30)=8/30
    on 5th day it is A's turn.
    1/5 work is done by A in 1day
    so 8/30 work will be done by A in 4/3 days
    so total time taken is=4+(4/3)=16/3 days

  33. HI, friends, whats the position of people from andhra who are effected by hudhud.We didnt attend exam for last week and we think this situation is same for next week also.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I Also got 4.

    Last 2 days A,B,C all three are working together..
    you considered only c's work...
    subtract (A+B)'s 2 days work from 1 also...
    remaining work---->> 1-(1/5+8/30)= 16/30

    so they do the remaining work in 16/30*60/8 = 4 days...

    ReplyDelete
  35. total days 30*total no. soldiers 1200=36000U(i take units instead of garrison)
    for 12 days and 1200 soldiers==14400U
    remining that is subract 36000-14400==21600U(this many units consumed by following)
    now 400 joined 1200+400=1600
    remaining 21600/1600==27/2=13.5

    ReplyDelete
  36. no i think its 5(1/2).
    bcoz a=5 & b=6

    8-5=3
    3/6=1/2
    total---- 2+2+1+1/2= 5(1/2)

    ReplyDelete
  37. 10) total days 30*total no. soldiers 1200=36000U(i take units instead of garrison)
    for 12 days and 1200 soldiers==14400U
    remining that is subract 36000-14400==21600U(this many units consumed by following)
    now 400 joined 1200+400=1600

  39. 12)total work = product of no.of men *no.of days
    15*60=900units

    first 10 days15*10=150units
    secd10 days 5 men are added 20*10=200
    third 10 days 5 more men added 25*10=250
    next 10 days 5 more added 30*10=300

  40. It is not like A=5 and B=6
    A can finish a work in 5 days means in a day he does 6 work (30/5=6)
    Same for the B
    if B finishes a work in 6 days means in a day he does 5 work.

  44. i guess question was little bit ambigious if they asked like how many days did A and B worked ?
    then 6 days
    but they asked together they worked that means we have to consider before joining C(bcoz after that C also there) how many days they worked together so ans will be 4 days
