Analysis of SBI Clerks Online Exam dated 31st August 2014

Hi, I am Khalid from Karnataka. I attended SBI Clerk exam on 31st Morning Session, the overall paper was easy if someone practiced in depth. This review is based on my memory so bear some discrepancy.

First I attended General awareness and Computer-Marketing, these sections are very easy, if someone inculcate habit of reading newspaper he/she easily solved this section with ease and accuracy (Including English section as newspaper helps to improve your vocabulary and reading skill) completed this session in 20 minutes.

Next I attended Reasoning which was on expected lines given by review of previous aspirants. This section comprised questions from Syllogisms, Coding-Decoding, Blood Relations, Inequality, Arrangements (both linear and circular), and Puzzles.

Next English session also on expected line given by review of previous aspirants. There was a passage based on a fiction story of merchant and farmer. Then there were five questions each on Para Jumbles, Spot the Error and Fill in the Blanks which were mostly easy.

Quantitative Aptitude session was easy if someone practiced variety of questions in bringing solutions in faster way, as many questions are logical and not direct. I relied on RS Agarwal and M Tyra, I personally felt these books are helpful to some extent.

My attempts are:

• General Awareness: 31 (95% accuracy)
• English: 33 (95%accuracy)
• Quantitative Aptitude: 16 (100%accuracy)
• Reasoning: 30 (100%accuracy)
• Computer and marketing: 39 (95%accuracy)

My big mistake is I thought I attempted 18 questions in apti which was sufficient to cross hurdle of cut off & jumped to reasoning puzzles but at the end of session nuclear bomb exploded and shattered my hopes when at the end of session it showed 16 attempts in aptitude. Finally curtains are down Adieu to SBI Clerk Exam! Waiting for result is arduous task.

 Whether I am still in the frying Pan or I have jumped into the fire. Only time will decide! Let’s keep trying until opportunity knocks at our doors.
