- Copyright - the legal right to control the production and selling of a book, play, film, photograph, or piece of music

- And counting - used to say that a figure (number) is constantly increasing
- Milestone - an important event in the development or history of something
- Curious - unusual and interesting
- Round number - a number that ends in 0, such as 40, 450, or 4000
- Haul - a usually large amount of something
- Apposite - relevant and appropriate to what is happening or being discussed
- Assess - to judge or decide the amount, value, quality, or importance of something
- Legacy - something that is a part of your history or that remains from an earlier time
- Germane - relevant to a subject that is being discussed
- Cannibalise - to take parts of something, in order to make something else
- Superpower - a country that has great military, economic, and political power
- Crack of doom - a peal of thunder announcing the Day of Judgement
- Elusive - difficult or impossible to achieve
- Pursued - to try to do or achieve something
- Vibrant - energetic, exciting, and full of enthusiasm
- United - to join together as a group
- Bequeathed - pass something on or leave something to someone else
- Coming together - if people or groups come together, they meet or join in order to do something
- In awe of something / someone - fearful and respectful of someone or something
- Indomitable - very determined and impossible to defeat
- Nucleus - the central or basic part of something
- Emergence - the process of appearing or becoming recognized
- World-class - one of the best in the world
- All-round - good at doing a lot of different things, especially in sport
- Consistently - continuously
- Rivalry - a situation in which people, teams, businesses etc compete with one another
- Transformative - causing a major change to something or someone, especially in a way that makes it or them better
- Break through - to force your way through something that is stopping you from moving forward

- Empathy - the ability to understand how someone feels because you can imagine what it is like to be them
- Momentous - very important because of effects on future events
- Obsessed - considering someone or something as so important that you are always thinking about them
- Dominant - more important, powerful, or successful than the other people or things of the same type
- Falls into place - when things fall into place, they happen in a satisfactory way, without problems
- Looked after - to take care of someone or something and make certain that they have everything they need
- Commended - to praise someone or something formally or publicly
- Laying out - to arrange something
