- Diversity - the fact that very different people or things exist within a group or place
- Sanctuary - official protection given to someone by a place that is safe for them
- Roll out the red carpet for someone - to give special treatment to an important visitor
- Amid - if something happens amid particular feelings or events, it happens while people have these feelings or while these events are happening

- Bank on somebody / something - to depend on something happening or on someone doing something
- Heft - power or strength
- Mere - only / just
- Spectacular - extremely impressive
- Let alone - used for saying that something is even less likely to happen than another unlikely thing
