International Affairs
- Ending more than four decades of wait, India and Bangladesh will start the exchange of 162 adversely-held enclaves from today's midnight, marking the start of implementation of their landmark Land Boundary Agreement (LBA).
- India will hand over 51 enclaves, comprising 7,110 acres to Bangladesh.
- Bangladesh will give India 111 enclaves comprising around 17,160 acres.
- Bangladesh and India will implement the LBA of 1974 and the enabling Protocol of September, 2011, in a phased manner over the next 11 months.
- Note : According to an estimate, around 37,000 people are living in Indian enclaves in Bangladesh while 14,000 people are staying in Bangladeshi enclaves in India.

- The 'World Population Prospects : The 2015 Revision' launched in United Nations today projected that the population of India is expected to surpass that of China within seven years (by 2022).
- China and India remain the two largest countries in the world, each
with more than 1 billion people, representing 19 and 18 per cent of the
world's population, respectively.
- Currently, the population of China is approximately 1.38 billion compared with 1.31 billion in India.
- Ten largest countries in the world
- Five are in Asia (Bangladesh, China, India, Indonesia, and Pakistan),
- One in Africa (Nigeria),
- Two are in Latin America (Brazil and Mexico),
- One is in Northern America (USA),
- One is in Europe (Russian Federation).
- Note : According to this report, India will remain the most populous the country in the world till 2100.

- Tunisia's parliament has adopted a new anti-terror law which seeks to counter the threat posed by Islamist militants.
- The move follows two deadly attacks on tourism sites - a beach and hotel at Sousse in June and the Bardo Museum in Tunis in March.

- Under the new draft regulations announced, the companies can't claim that their nutraceuticals and health supplement products are for therapeutic and curative purposes.

The NV also outlines responsibilities of both sides in implementing the project.
