• President Ram Nath Kovind today inaugurated Andhra Pradesh Fibre Grid project, aimed at providing affordable high-speed internet service to every household in the state at a nominal rate.
• The government has exempted children up to the age of five years from giving their biometrics to the passport issuing authority.
• To make employees reach early so that people don't have to wait to get their work done, the Assam government has altered the office timings for its staff from 10 am to 5 pm to 9.30 am to 5 pm. 
• The new timings will be followed January 1, 2018, onwards. 
• The Parliament today passed The Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy (IIPE) Bill, 2017 to establish the IIPE at Vishakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh).
  
• Gujarat's Chief Minister Vijay Rupani inaugurated the 25th edition of National Children Science Congress (NCSC-2017).

Seven persons P, Q, R, S, T, U and V, who are working in the same organization, live on separate floors of a 7-floor building. Ground floor is numbered 1, first floor is numbered 2 and so on until the topmost floor is numbered 7. Each one of these is travelling to a different city, viz Delhi, Mumbai, Patna, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Lucknow but not nec-essarily in the same order. 

P lives on fourth floor. Only one person lives between P and the one travelling to Bengaluru. The person travelling to Bengaluru lives below fourth floor.
