Hi friends, I m Mahanitya.. I have appeared for today's (Dt. 11th May 2014) Postal Assistants / Sorting Assistants Exam from Tamilnadu Circle.  I feel the question paper was easy..       ya same here... will surely get 10 in all categories but not sure if thats sufficient to qualify for paper 2.. might get 60-70.. damn the poor management in exam centre.. called off 15 mins early and we all randomly selected and later the invig says his time is 15min fast !!!! preference pafpo general category..plz reply

      S wen compare to other circles our tamilnadu ques paper was tough.. g.k and maths numerical part also a time consumption one 1ly. In reasng no image ques. if u compare our ques paper with other circles there is a lot of changes in pattern & tricky too. They should reduce our cut off mark. last yr tamilnadu ques paper seems easy 1ly. This yr ?!

      dont worry .if the paper is tough it will be tough for all in your state.vacancies in your state are allotted to your state applicants only.
      hence if paper is easy it is easy for all and if paper is tough it is tough for all.

      YES. IT IS VERY TOUGH COMPARED TO OTHER CIRCLE. ESPECIALLY MATHEMATICS SECTION. WHILE COMPARING WITH OTHER CIRCLE THERE IS NOT EVEN A SINGLE DIRECT OR VERY EASY EXCEPT 4 TO 5 PROBLEMS.

      conceptually the atomic number of an atom is equal to the number of protons or electrons.
      in that question they want to ask that whether the candidate having knowledge about the term "ATOMIC NUMBER" or not.
      so the answer is 12 protons 12 electrons.

      Carbon (atomic number 6)

      hmmm.. may be the number of applicants is larger in tn circle.. dats why tough qp to eliminate as many as possible.. i feel everyone who has qualified according to notification would be called for paper 2 .. gen 40 [10 in each] obc 36[9 min in each] and so on

    The answer of Q.no:26. series B Tamilnadu circle would be a) 204 :
    1.take LCM to all fractions 1/2,2/3,3/4. LCM=12.
    2.then resulting fraction is 6+8+9/12=23/12.
    3.take 6:8:9 as the non fraction ratio and their sum is 23.
    4.they have asked for first part, now the first part is 6.
    5.So Rs.782 x 6/23=34 x 6=204.
    Hence the answer should be 204.

    last yr tn cutoff fr obc is 45 to 65...dis time also cutoff vil b low ly cos our circle qp is very tough..dat too gk is very tough..so those who r gettin mre dan 50 in tn circle..can xpect ther presence in paper 2..so get ready fr paper ii..

    Qualifying Criterion & Evaluation Criterion for Paper II:
    There were two Tests running on personal computer i.e. Typing and Data Entry test each is of 15 minutes duration. There is no sectional qualifying criterion. Marks obtained in Typing and Data Entry test have been added and the minimum qualifying criterion is applied i.e. 40% (40Marks) marks for OC, 37%  (37 Marks) for OBC and 33% (33 Marks) for SC / ST  for "Qualifying" the computer typing / data entry test.

    Example: If an OC candidate scores 23 Marks in Typing Test and scores 18 Marks in Data Entry "Qualifies" with Total Score as 41.

    Evaluation Criterion :-
    For Typing Test (in English) Net Speed 30WPM = 20 Marks. Application software evaluates the Typing test for correctness and speed.
    For Typing Test (in Hindi) Net Speed 25WPM = 20 Marks. Application software evaluates the Typing test for correctness and speed.
    For Data Entry Test (English) Applicant is given 50 Alphanumeric Forms each of 50 characters (7 fields) to do the data entry in 15 Mts. Application software evaluates the forms for correctness and speed. Each completely Correct Form scores 1 mark. Twenty Correct Data Entered Forms = 20 Marks. Form’s mark (1) has been equally divided into number of field in that record. i.e. if 3 fields are correct in a Form of 7 fields then the candidate gets 1*3/7=.43 for that Form.

    By mistake, while applying i had indicated that i belong to the general category..It is only now i realised that my community is in the central list of obc s..Had i entered my community correctly as obc, it would have increased my chances of getting selected..Does anybody know if there are any ways to correct it now?Since the answers and merit list of tamilnadu are not yet released, do i have a chance to correct it as obc.?If it is, how can i do that..if anyone knows kindly lemme know at gayathriivel@gmail.com
