Name : Vikhyat Hindoliya
Education : B.Pharmacy, MBA (Financial Administration)
About Myself:
First of all I would like to clear that Banking is not my first choice for job. I opted Biology because wanted to became a Doctor but unfortunately unable to clear Pre Medical Test exam. That was a huge setback for me and I had left with no alternative left so choose B.Pharmacy for my graduation because I want to stick to my science stream but in due course of time I realize that there is very limited scope of growth in this field. So after completing my graduation in 2011 I choose MBA instead of M Pharma and got admission in IMS DAVV Indore for my MBA course and it was the turning point of my life because during my MBA I got exposure to competitive environment and generated interest for Banking Industry.
My Study Plan
General Awareness :
I have interest in Current affairs because of newspaper reading habit developed during my college days which helped to crack this section easily. I used to update current affairs with online newspaper and the current affairs uploaded on gr8ambitionz especially GK Capsule which was very compact, systematic and covered whole GK of last 6 months. Reading newspaper helps us to improve our vocabulary too. You can also follow any good competitive magazine on monthly basis like pratiyogita darpan.
Banking Awareness:
Very important section ,score well by reading good business newspapers like business Standards, Economic Times, The Hindu business page & Business Line.
Computer Knowledge:
To be frank I have not prepared anything more than provided by gr8ambitionz team. As most of the questions are from basics, so working knowledge in computer is sufficient to answer. It’s a very scoring section that too in very short span of time so practice as many as questions you can. One thing to remember sometimes questions are quite confusing so read all questions attentively.
English
Don’t underestimate this section remember everyone is good in spoken English. But it won’t work out in Competitive exams. In exams they will test our ability how much proficiency we have in English by Comprehension, Error spotting, Cloze test, re arrangement of sentences. Begin with the previous year test papers and solve them in a given time frame. And for grammatical portion stick to any good English of your choice.
Reasoning :
A time consuming section for beginners. And practice makes you perfect to do well in this section. Various kind of questions were asked like sitting arrangements, Input output, Directions, Mathematical Operations, Syllogisms, etc . It depends on the approach how you choose the questions within a time frame to solve. I have seen that many aspirants waste their most of time in solving a single question which cost them in their results. Remember that nothing personal in banking exam if you can’t solve it leave it. If you are not good in this section than don’t waste your precious time just do it to clear sectional cutoff and allot this time to other sections.
Aptitude Test :
A very important section from scoring point of view. If you are good in calculations than this section is for you but this time in IBPS PO questions asked were very time consuming so choosing right question to answer is also a skill which you learn by practice. More important I allot more time for this section only and come at last. Many videos for shortcuts are available on you tube and other websites. Please watch and try to apply those in the practice papers.
Fine, Here my time allocation: For IBPS PO 3
- Computer proficiency : 10 Mins
- General Awareness and Banking Knowledge : 15 mins
- English : 25 Mins
- Reasoning : 30 Mins
- Aptitude - Minimum 40 Mins
Time allocation is very mandatory and should be followed strictly in each section.
List of Exams I have appeared :
- IBPS PO 1 (written not qualified by 1 mark)
- IBPS PO 2 (written not qualified by 1 mark)
- SSC CGL 2012 Not Qualified
- RBI Assistant 2012 Not Qualified
- RRB PO & Clerk 1 Qualified both but no interview call due to low scores
- SBI PO 2013 Not Qualified
- FCI 2013 T1+T2 Qualified CPT not cleared
- MPPSC 2012 Pre Qualified waiting for mains result
- SSC MTS 2013 Qualified
- SSC CPO 2013 Cleared T1 doesn’t attend physical
- SSC CGL 2013 T1 Qualified waiting for T2 result
- SSC Prasar Bharti 2013 T1+T2 Qualified waiting for interview
- SSC CHSL 2013 Qualified waiting for CPT
- UGC NET 2013 (June) Qualified
- RRB PO & Clerk 2 Qualified both
- IBPS PO 3 Qualified
- Written 76 Final score 45.50 Allotted Bank of Baroda
- IBPS Clerk 3 Qualified
- Written 111 Final Score 59.60 Allotted Bank of Baroda (M.P. state)
Now having 2 offers in hand and few final interviews & CPT are pending. Those pains faced in the society being jobless will fly as soon as getting into job. Remember Success is not final, failure is not fatal.
Personal Advice to Aspirants :
Don’t lose hope work hard and analyze your strong and weak points and work on them. Have faith in almighty god and please choose good quality study material it would make lots of difference and especially choose online material with utmost care. I personally recommend you gr8ambitionz.com which provide quality material free of cost. And remember there is no short cut of success.
At last I would like to quote a poem of our Former PM A.B. Vajpayee Ji which keep inspiring me
“ Kya haar me kya jeet mein,
kinchit nahin bhaybhit main,
Sangharsh path par job hi mile,
Yeh bhi sahi who bhi sahi.”
Thank you and All the Best all :)
