North Indian state Rajasthan's 22 year old Suman Rao has won this year's Femina Miss India World 2019 beauty pageant during a star-studded ceremony at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Indoor Stadium in Mumbai. Miss India 2018 Anukreethy Vas (Tamil Nadu) crowned her successor Suman Rao, Miss India 2019 in an emotional moment.  Suman will now represent India at Miss World 2019, which is to be held in Thailand.

This is the 56th edition of the Femina Missi India beauty paegeant. Shreya Shankar from Bihar was crowned Miss India United Continents 2019 and Shivani Jadhav from Chattisgarh was crowned, Miss Grand India 2019. She is also the first runner up.

The pageant was hosted by Bollywood producer & director Karan Johar along with Indian television host, anchor and an actor Manish Paul and Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar.
