ReplyDeletethanks a lot for g8...
ReplyDeleteCan u please explain the solution I'm getting 46 and 18 as present ages
ReplyDeleteI AM GETTING 43-FATEHERS AGE AND 13 AS SON'S AGE.
ReplyDeleteonly 14/20:(....
ReplyDeleteI'm also getting Fathers age 46 and Sons age 18.....cause 4 years ago ratio was 3:1 ... so 4 years ago total ages become 64-8=56 and 56*3/4 .... 56*1/4 then add 4 years on both ages cause we have to calculate present age ....
ReplyDeleteFather age will be 40 year at present...let son age 4 year ago be x then father 3x..x+8+3x+8= 64..now we get x as 12 ...and present age of father we get is 40..
ReplyDeleteF-4=3(S-4)
ReplyDeleteF=3S-8........
Then F+S=64
After puttng the value of F we get F 46 S 18
After subtrctng 4 yrs we got there prsnt age which is 42 &14 respectively.....
father age is 3 time of son age nd 14* 3 is 42 nd after 4 year add 8 year nd sum become 64
ReplyDeleteWE ARE SAME HERE
ReplyDeletethis is right ans but not 100%
ReplyDeletetanx
ReplyDeleteage of father is 40 ans son is 16
ReplyDeletePresent age of father is 40 and son is 16....sum of ages after 4 years is 64 , so sum if ages at present would be 56..before 4 years sum would be 48...it's given that father age is 3 times sons age before 4 year..so sons age is 12 and father 36....in question they asked present age of father so it's 36+4=40
ReplyDeleteBut after 4 years sum of both would be 50+22=72..but it's given as 64 in question..so ur answer is wrong
ReplyDeleteF-4=3(s-4) before 4 years
ReplyDeleteF+s is present
F+4+s+4= 64 is after 4 years
Thank you for the bits
ReplyDeleteThanks Gr8..
ReplyDeletefather age 56 son age. 18
ReplyDeleteIf 46 and 18 are present ages then after 4 years sum would be 46+4+18+4=72 but according to question sum after 4 years is 64,,,so ur answer went wrong ...I have the correct answer below dear...
