  • Strategy - a plan or method for achieving something, especially over a long period of time
  • Delicate - a delicate situation needs to be dealt with carefully so that people do not get upset or annoyed
  • Adopt - to decide to start using a particular idea, plan, or method
  • Long-standing - having existed for a long time
  • Intractable - very difficult or impossible to deal with
  • Conflict - angry disagreement between people or groups
  • Aspiration - something that you want to achieve, or the wish to achieve something
  • Counterpart - someone or something that has the same job or purpose as another person or thing, but in a different country, time, situation, or organization
  • Vast - extremely large
  • Reiterate - to repeat something in order to emphasize it or make it very clear to people
  • Sovereign - having the highest power or being completely independent
  • Bilateral - a bilateral agreement or activity is one that involves two groups or countries
  • Vital - very important, necessary, or essential
  • Isolation - the state of being separated from other people, or a situation in which you do not have the support of other people
  • Diplomatic - relating to the profession or skill of preserving or creating friendly relationships between countries
  • Overwhelmingly - very great or very large
  • Nuance - a slight difference that may be difficult to notice but is fairly important
  • Stop short - to suddenly stop what you are doing or saying
  • Specifics - the details of something
  • Revive - to make something become, active, successful, or popular again
  • Monoculture - the practice of growing only one crop in an area
  • Imagery - pictures, photographs, or objects that represent an idea
  • Broad-brush - very general and without many details
  • Assessment - the act of judging or deciding the amount, value, quality, or importance of something
  • Dense - with a lot of trees, plants, or leaves growing close together
  • Moderately - to some degree but not to a great degree
  • Scrub - (an area of land covered with) short trees and bushes, growing on dry ground of low quality
  • Insight - a chance to understand something or learn more about it
  • Integrity - the quality of being complete or whole, without any missing parts
  • Emphasis - special importance or attention that is given to one thing in particular
  • Yield - to produce something useful such as information or evidence
  • Dividend - profit
  • Baseline - a quantity, value, or fact used as a standard for measuring other quantities, values, or facts
  • Biodiverse - having many different types of animals and plants
  • Ecosystem - all the plants and animals in a particular area, considered as a system with parts that depend on one another
  • Plantation - a large farm where crops such as tea, coffee, cotton, and sugar are grown
  • Assemblage - the process of building something by putting all its parts together
  • Endow with - to give a particular quality to something, or to say that something has a particular quality
  • Colonial - relating to a system or period in which one country rules another
  • Exploitation - unfair treatment of someone, or the use of a situation in a way that is wrong, in order to get some benefit for yourself
  • Latter-day - existing now as a modern example of someone or something from the past
  • Restoration - the act or process of returning something to its earlier good condition or position
  • Vegetation - plants that are found in a particular area
  • Audit - a careful examination of something, especially one done to find the amount, size, or effectiveness of something
  • Cumulative - developing or increasing gradually as a result of more and more additions
  • Impact - an effect, or an influence
  • Hotspot - a popular and exciting place
  • Remediation - the process of improving a situation or of correcting a problem
  • Compensate - to change or remove the bad result of something
  • Adequate  - in a way that is good enough or large enough for a particular purpose
  • Flood - a large amount of water covering an area that is usually dry
  • Erode - to gradually reduce the strength or importance of something
  • Monoculture - the practice of growing only one crop in an area
  • Reform - a change that is intended to correct a situation that is wrong or unfair, or make a system work more effectively
  • Canopy - the branches and leaves that spread out at the top of a group of trees forming a type of roof
  • Diverse - very different from each other
  • Indigenous - indigenous plants and animals belong to a region because they developed there
  • Renaissance - new interest in something that makes it popular again
