  • Reform - a change that is intended to correct a situation that is wrong or unfair, or make a system work more effectively
  • Caution - careful thought and lack of hurry in order to try to avoid risks or danger
  • Revamp - to improve the way that something looks or operates by making major changes to it
  • Revisit -  to consider or discuss something again
  • Controversial - a controversial subject, opinion, or decision is one that people disagree about or do not approve of
  • Confession - a spoken or written statement in which you admit that you have committed a crime
  • Admissible - allowed or able to be used, especially in a court of law
  • Dilute - to make something less strong or effective
  • Conviction - a decision by a court of law that someone is guilty of a crime
  • Gamut - the complete range of things of a particular type
  • Sentencing - the system for punishing people who have been found guilty in a court of law
  • Nuance - a slight difference that may be difficult to notice but is fairly important
  • Offence - a crime or illegal activity for which there is a punishment
  • Advocacy - the act of pleading a case in court
  • Substantial - large in amount or degree
  • Witness - someone who sees a crime, accident, or other event happen
  • Victim - someone who has been harmed, injured, or killed as the result of a crime
  • Compensation - something that changes or removes the bad result of something
  • Admissible - allowed or able to be used, especially in a court of law
  • Custody - a situation in which someone is kept in prison until they go to court for trial
  • Moot - to suggest something as a subject for discussion
  • Adverse - negative, unpleasant, or harmful
  • Implication - a possible effect or result
  • Deliberation - discussions in which a subject is considered carefully
  • Disquiet - a feeling of being very worried or nervous
  • Apparent - easy to see or understand
  • Inadequate - not enough, or not good enough for a particular purpose
  • Perception - a particular way of understanding or thinking about something
  • Nexus - a closely connected group of people or things, often forming the central part of something
  • Syndicate - a group of people or organizations that work together to achieve a particular aim
  • Erosion - the gradual reduction or destruction of something important
  • Despite - used for saying that something happens even though something else might have prevented it
  • Substantive - important or serious
  • Administer - to be responsible for making certain that something is done according to the rules
  • Circumspection - thinking carefully about something before you say or do it
  • Vital - very important, necessary, or essential
  • Abuse - the use of something in a bad, dishonest, or harmful way
  • Violate - to do something that is in opposition to a law, agreement, principle etc
  • Revamp - to improve the way that something looks or operates by making major changes to it
  • Undermine - to make something or someone become gradually less effective, confident, or successful
  • Prediction - a statement about what you think will happen in the future
  • Stimulus - anything that encourages something to happen, develop, or improve
  • Gather steam - to become more active, important, or full of energy
  • Outlook - an idea about what a situation will be like in the future
  • Accelerate - to happen or make something happen at a faster rate
  • Cyclical - cyclical events happen again and again in the same order or at the same times
  • Pace - the speed at which someone or something moves, or with which something happens or changes
  • Thanks to - used for saying that someone or something is responsible for something good that happened
  • Oblivious - not noticing something, or not knowing about it
  • Threat - a situation or an activity that could cause harm or danger
  • Severely - very seriously
  • Derail - to prevent something from continuing in the way that it was planned
  • Drag down - to cause someone / something's social position or standards of behaviour to become worse
  • Propped up -  to help a government, system, organization etc to continue to exist, especially by providing financial or military support
  • Unprecedented - never having happened or existed before
  • Substantial - large and strongly built
  • Complement -  to combine well with something, often something that has different qualities
  • Stimulus - anything that encourages something to happen, develop, or improve
  • Inherent - an inherent quality is a basic or essential feature that gives something its character
  • Fuel - to make something increase or become worse, especially something unpleasant
  • Spook - to make someone suddenly feel frightened or nervous
  • Prospect - the possibility that something will happen, especially something good
  • Abundant - existing or available in large quantities
  • Disruption - a situation in which something cannot continue because of a problem
  • Distortion - a change that makes something no longer true or accurate
  • Downturn - a reduction in economic or business activity
  • Reckoning - a calculation or measurement
  • Dovish - preferring to use peaceful methods to solve problems rather than fighting
  • Stance - an attitude or view about an issue that you state clearly
  • Urge - to advise someone very strongly about what action or attitude they should take
  • Rosy - likely to be successful or happy
  • Enact - to make a proposal into a law
