Subject : Request for the closure of savings account. 

I have a savings account (A/c. No. 1200001239) at your branch since August 2006. I request you to close my account as I am relocating to the United States of America permanently. As there is no branch of your bank there, therefore, I have decided to close this account. I would be highly obliged if the account closure process is completed by 30th October, 2016 and a money order/cheque for the outstanding balance in the account is sent to me.

Kindly let me know if any documents need to be submitted or any other formalities have to be performed for the same. I request you to expedite the process as I am leaving the country in the beginning of November 2016. I shall always be grateful to your bank for providing me with high quality services for the last 10 years.
