Hi all ! I am Prudhvi.Ganta.

Am here to share my SBI PO GD/PI experience.

I had my slot at 10 am on 13th September,2017. I reached the venue by 9:30am followed by certificates verification for an hour. The members were so friendly as they are cracking jokes (It may be to make us feel free :p). 1 person was absent in my group, so we were a 10 member group.

At 11 am we were taken to another room for GD/GE exercises. A 2 member panel congratulated us and continued some spiritual classes ;) and by 11:15 they announced the topic  “ Indian Villages – Strengths or Weakness.“  We were given 5 minutes to prepare key points and then GD started.

Am the second person to start the GD, gave my points briefly. As the time is exhausted any of us couldn’t gave conclusion (I tried by the panel member continuously telling Thank you !! Thank you!!)

Then in no gap, we were given a paper where the list of priorities given, topic for G.E. is Things you consider if you want to embrace a change.

List of Priorities :
Adaptability, Positive Attitude, Optimism, Readiness for change, Risk Factors, Adjusting, Flexibility.

This time I started the conversation and gave my priorities but after 15 min of our discussion as our group didn’t came to consensus we made it differently by giving our priorities from the reverse order (don’t know how it works as we felt that something is better than nothing.)

By 12:15pm GD/GE were completed and we were taken to Interview hall, am the second person in order in my group and my turn came at 1:00pm.

Me : Entered the room and Good afternoon madam(Replica of Smt. Arundathi Battacharya madam ) and Good afternoon sirs.

Madam : Please take your seat.
Sir2 : Yes. Tell me about yourself.
Before completion Sir1 interrupted,
Sir 1 : What is Smiles ? (As I mentioned that am working in an social welfare group Smiles,) explained him about our work etc.,
Me : Explained.
Sir 1 : Why didn’t you pursue your career as a civil engineer ?
Me : Explained.
Sir 1 : Why banking ?
Me : Explained.
Sir 1 : You are 23 now. Why don’t you went for higher studies/ went for MBA and work for private banks like HDFC but why only SBI ?
Me : I will have job security in public sector banks, and working in India’s largest lender, behemoth banking organisation post and pre merger is a matter of pride, SBI is the one among very few organisations which made a P.O. as Chairperson which was proved by our Hon’ble Chairperson Arundathi Madam.
Sir 1 : Tell me about brexit issue.
Me: Explained but not in detail.
Sir 2 : What the changes you bring if you were made as a branch manager in a rural branch ?
Me : Answered.
Sir 1 : Tell me about Bokoharam issue.
Me : I am not aware of recent development, so said sorry sir I couldn’t remember.
Sir 3 : Tell me about Rohingyas issue. Is Indian government decision to deport them correct ?
Me : Expalined in detail and I felt a bit nervous as entire panel is keenly listening (As I mentioned China, Bangladesh, at the end I also gave my opinion.)
Sir 3 : What is Portland cement ? (After the series of bullets can’t able to remember and told him sorry sir I can’t remember now.)

From the beginning Madam is just smiling and she didn’t asked even single question.
Finally they told me to leave.

I thanked everyone.

My interview lasted for 16 minutes.

Hoping for the best. :)
