Meet the new CEO of Bankof Maharashtra - Ravindra Prabhakar Marathe

Ravindra Prabhakar Marathe has been appointed as the new Managind Director and CEO (MD & CEO) of Bank of Maharashtra. He is currently working as the Executive Director at Bank of India. Prior to this, he served as a General Manager of Bank of Baroda.

He joined Bank of Baroda as a Planning Officer in 1982. Mr. Marathe has worked in corporate planning division having exposure to strategic planning, performance budgeting, economic research, MIS, environmental scanning and data warehouse functions.  He also worked at branches having exposure to corporate credit and trade finance for over six years. 

He acquired CAIIB and Dip. in Treasury, Investment and Risk Management (IIBF) qualifications besides a Certificate in Computer Applications. He holds Master's degree in Economics (Gold Medal) from M S University of Baroda in 1980. 

He will assume charge on or after 1st October 2016 and remain in the post till 30th November 2019, the date of his retirement.
