I am Saikiran,one of the silent readers of Gr8ambitionz. I have been selected as clerk in Andhra bank.My hearty congratulations to all selected candidates.We all know success is not destination it's a journey.Most of the banks may give joining in june. So we have atleast 1-2 months,we have to utilize the time effectively.If you choose banking as your career I would recommend the following.
JAIIB/CAIIB : These are the exams conducted by IIBF twice a year in may /nov.They play a crucial role in promotion of clerk(to officer(in short span of two years).They give 3 increments for clerk on clearing the exam(2-JAIIB 1- CAIIB),for PO 2 increments(1-JAIIB 1- CAIIB).
JAIIB : It is of1 20 multiple choice questions carrying 1 mark each.There are three papers(no negative marking).We are expected to score a minimum of 50 % in each Paper.For more Info regarding exam Rules and Syllabus
CAIIB : To appear in CAIIB one must clear JAIIB.So first focus on JAIIB.For more info Rules and Syllabus
Though the pattern of the exam is simple,the Syllabus is lengthy.Once we join as a clerk/officer in a
bank ,we may not spare time for these exams after hectic office hours.So I have started preparing for JAIIB and suggest the same. Suggested books for JAIIB/CAIIB.
