International Affairs
  • Russian President Vladimir Putin and our Prime Minister Narendra Modi are likely to unveil two “vision documents” on strategic, nuclear and economic issues, and could possibly make a joint appearance at the World Diamond Congress which is going to be held on December 11 and 12.
    • Mr. Putin is visiting India on 10th December 2014

  • International cab-booking service Uber was banned in Delhi, a day after one of its drivers was arrested for allegedly raping a 27-year-old woman executive amid growing outrage over the incident which renewed focus on safety measures for women.
  • The Centre has recommended to the 14th Finance Commission for inclusion of soil erosion, lightening and bamboo-flowering in the list of natural disasters.
  • Haryana Government will start CM Window System to address the grievances of the general public.
    • Giving this information Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that after the launch of system the problems and grievances of the people could be sorted out at their district centres and they need not visit Capital.
    • Iin the beginning it would be started as a pilot project. 
    • From the month of February the pensions would be credited direct in the bank accounts of the beneficiaries.
  • Nearly 40 years after the then Railway Minister Lalit Narayan Mishra was killed in a bomb blast in Bihar, a Delhi court today convicted four persons (Ranjan Dwivedi, Santoshananda Avadhuta, Sudevananda Avadhuta and Gopalji) for the charges of murder and criminal conspiracy.
    • District Judge (DJ) Vinod Goel convicted the four persons, Ranjan Dwivedi, Santoshananda Avadhuta, Sudevananda Avadhuta and Gopalji for various offences punishable under the IPC, including section 302 .  ct.

  • India beat Pakistan by five wickets in the final of the Blind Cricket World Cup at the Wally Wilson Cricket Ground in Cape Town, South Africa.

  • Andhra Pradesh govt. launches a portal for farmers to check their loan status.
    • The beneficiaries of the crop loan debt redemption scheme could obtain online the details of their loan status by logging in to this portal.

    i m presently working in a psu bank as clerical.i have my po interview on 24th jan 2015. i m an engg. graduate and have offer of joining from cognizant on feb 5 2015.what should i do in my situation should i go for the mncs or stick to my present job and prepare for various competitive exams...waiting for fast response from your side
