International Affairs
  • China has invited India to be part of its new initiative to build a Maritime Silk Road which it says is aimed at improving connectivity and trade among Asian nations through the sea on the lines of ancient Silk Route.
  • China plans to build the world's longest underwater tunnel, an expert involved in the project told media, a $36 billion shortcut between two northern port cities in an earthquake-prone region.
  • Italian Prime Minister Enrico Letta has submitted his resignation to President Giorgio Napolitano.

  • Bangalore will become the first city in India to experience 4G services on mobile from this month. The country's largest telecom operator Bharti Airtel is launching 4G services for smartphones such as iPhone 5S, 5C and Xolo, from this month.

  • The World Bank said it was investigating claims of labour and human rights abuses at an Indian tea plantation project that it jointly finances with tea giant Tata Global Beverages in the northeastern state of Assam.

  • Tata Motors said its global sales, including Jaguar Land Rover ( JLR), declined by 20.71 per cent to 80,163 units in January 2014, compared to the year-ago period.
  • Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd said it is has emerged as the biggest holder of liberalised spectrum after acquiring radiowaves in 14 out of 22 service areas for around Rs 11,054 crore in the latest round of auction.

  • Researchers claim to have developed a new software that can fix 90 per cent of broken links in the web of data provided the resources are still on the site's server.
  • Chang'e-2, China's second unmanned lunar probe, has traveller more than 70 million km into deep space in good condition, making the longest voyage of any Chinese spacecraft till date.

  • Microsoft Corp's Windows 8 system has racked up more than 200 million license sales since its launch 15 months ago, according to Tami Reller, its head of marketing, lagging Windows 7 which sold 240 million within its first year.

      Which receipt are you talking about. No receipt is required. If you are confused, just carry it with u. You'll feel better. But, The documents mentioned in the call letter is more than enough. Carry all originals and one set of photocopies, Sign on each and every page ( This is what they mean by, self-attested.) All the best :)
