31-year-old Li Na from China wins her first Australian Open 2014 title by beating Dominika Cibulkova of Slovakia 7-6, 6-0 in straight sets. Australian Open is major tennis tournament held annually over the last fortnight of January in Melbourne, Australia.

Last year's winner of Australian Open was Victoria Azarenka. Lina stood had to satisfy as a Runner Up that time. But this year she could make it. This is the her third Australian Open final and brings her a second major title after the 2011 French Open. She is world number 4 and Number 1 in china. As of now Li Na has won 9 WTA and 19 ITF singles titles. She is the only Asian player to win a grand slam singles title. "Finally I got her," Li Na said as she put a hand on the trophy of Australian Open 2014. "Last two times was very close", She added. She is the Oldest woman to clinch the title.
