After being headless for more than three months Andhra Bank, a public sector bank (PSB) of Andhra Pradesh with a network of 1,938 branches has recently announced that the Central Government has appointed Mr. C.V.R.Rajendran as the new Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of the organization. Rajendran earlier worked as Executive Director, Bank of Maharashtra. He will be Chairman and Managing Director of Andhra Bank for a period of five years or until superannuation, whichever is earlier. He is due to superannuate in April 2015. Mr. Rajendran has assumed his new charge as the CMD of Andhra Bank on 13th December 2013.
